 About our
kennel...
This
all happened in November, 1997. A sweet little brown puppy
appeared in our house. At first she was thrilled because of
changes in her life - she has got a new family. This little
sweet puppy was sitting in a corner and was not reacting on
anything. But the next day Serra (this is the name we gave
to the puppy) - made the section of the territory and of the
property with our kitty -" all bowls with food are for me,
all the rest is for you". At those times we couldn't even
imagine that after 6-7 years we will have three Newfies and
we will be the owners of our own Newfy-kennel.
But
it happened. In July 2003 our kennel "MIDNIGHT BEAR"
was registered in FCI. Our kennel is rather young. But, no
doubt, that the experience we got the previous years
working with our Newfies helps us to move forward.
In
2001 the first pups appeared in our house. The father of
that pups was a male with magnificent anatomy Thimo of the
Thatch Roof, who was imported from the the Belgian kennel
"Of the Thatch Roof". There are numerous World Winners in
his pedigree. The mother of our pups was Serra - female with
powerful skeleton and large -duty skeleton of limbs. We left
black female Evita Couly from this litter. After long
formation our Newfy-girl has accepted rather pleasant shape
- large strong skeleton of correct proportions, the head
well expressed to the excellent form, the correct invoice of
the wool and famous Newfy character. At the age of 2 years
she was rather entitled - Junior Champion of Belarus,
Champion of Belarus, Russia, Lithuania and the Ukraine.
In
2002 we got a male, who has the blood of the best Stud Dogs
of Europe ("Cayuga", "Karhukumpu", "V. Luxemburg", " Of the
Thatch Roof") and of America ("Pouch Cove's", "Whisperbays").
This naughty boy has overmasted all our family. His cheerful
character and "sunny" mood can't leave anybody indifferent.
His is our dear "sweet son".
In
February 2004 the first pups out this male and our girl
Evita Couly appeared in our kennel. We hope that
inbreeding (2*2 on male Thimo of the Thatch Roof) will give
good results and the pups will make one more step to the
development of our favourite breed. Maybe there will be a
future champion or a good Stud Dog among them..?
Pups - are serious and responsible job. We don't aim to
increase the population of Newfies, it turns out to be vice
versa, we aim to make not many litters, but well-thought.
And
now we live and admire communication with our dogs,
discovering something new every day. They became our
friends, for ever having subdued our hearts…
They became the part of
our life…
